Lenny Mclean was born on April 9th 1949 , He had a happy childhood entill the death of his Father when Lenny was only six years old.
His Mother later remarried a man ( Jim Erwin ) who viciously beat Lenny in drunken rages breaking bones including his jaw, ribs and legs on a number of occassions.
Lenny was sent to an Approved School in his early teens for petty crimes, he said in later life that he had got caught on purpose so he could get away from Jim Erwin.
After his release Lenny decided that no-man would ever hurt him like his step-father had done, he quickly built-up a reputation as a fighter and at the age of 19 he met Val and they were soon married.
Lenny tried a few jobs to support his new life but with his quick temper he didnt keep a job for long .
It was a man called Kenny Mac that introduced Lenny to fighting for money, Kenny would hold gypsy fights at his car site and after selling Lenny a car the two got chatting, Lenny entered and won his first payed fight, it earned him 500 pound and a legend was born.
It was at this time Lenny started training properly, it wasnt long before he was running five miles a day and bench pressing 500 pounds.
He was also well known as a bouncer , often reffered to as " King of the bouncers" .
After beating the hardest men Britain had to offer his reputation as a awesome fighter spread out of England and the Mafia flew him to New York to take on their best fighter, it was all over in less than 3 minuets and Lenny returned home the winner.
A challenge to Mr T from the T.V show The A Team was refused as Mr T was waiting to find out if he had the part of Clubber Lang in Rocky 3, Mr T said that he would fight Lenny if he didnt get the part, luckily for Mr T , he did get the part so the fight never went ahead.
In later life, after taking part and winning over 2000 bare-knuckle fights, Lenny turned to acting with a great part in Guy Ritchies " Lock, Stock And Two Smoking Barrells" where he played " Barry the Baptist ".
Sadly Lenny died on the 28th of July 1998 from cancer, he was 49 years old and had just finished writting his autobiography entitled
